Maybe Something Beautiful

My cousin Katie gave me a great book this week. It’s called Maybe Something Beautiful by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell. It’s illustrated by Rafael Lopez. The book is about how art can change a neighborhood and it’s based on a true story of the illustrator. I loved this story and the illustrations are amazing!

After we read the story we talked about what it means to be an artist and murals. Katie also brought an activity along when she brought the book.

After we did Katie’s activity it was time to make our own mural. The kids loved working together and creating one big piece of art!
